Continuous Professional Development

Learning through Games

On April 24, 2013, Ms. Nazha Moufarrej presented a workshop about learning through games. Teachers discussed the importance of using games and applied two of them during the workshop. The first one was from Montessori School (Stamp Game) which applies the real concept of division. The second one is a Chinese puzzle called Tangrams that helps students to use geometric plane shapes in building plane figures.

Believing in the essence of school self-evaluation and the need to have an accurate picture of the quality of teaching and learning in AMS, continuous professional development has been established. Leaders, coordinators, and teachers meet weekly on Wednesdays for one or two hours to present workshops aimed at improving teachers’ performance and raising standards of student’s achievement.
