School Curriculum Ideologies

In November 2012, teachers, coordinators, and leaders were fully engaged in a dynamic workshop entitled School Curriculum Ideologies. They worked in groups to discuss and reflect on the aims, objectives, and standards of four different ideologies: Social Efficiency Ideology, Social Reconstruction Ideology, Scholar Academic Ideology, and The Learner Centered Ideology.

Believing in the essence of school self-evaluation and the need to have an accurate picture of the quality of teaching and learning in AMS, continuous professional development has been established. Leaders, coordinators, and teachers meet weekly on Wednesdays for one or two hours to present workshops aimed at improving teachers’ performance and raising standards of student’s achievement.
